The original “Unknown Sicily"

The "best seller" excursion of the area, discover the most remote traditions, the daily life of the Sicilians of the hinterland, away from the tourist masses, revealing interesting places of immense cultural and artistic heritage as well as breathtaking landscapes among Mediterranean and "sustainable" delights . The day will be spent in the alleys of medieval villages, a hermitage in the heart of the woods dedicated to the patron saint of Palermo, the location for an Oscar film with traditions that come from afar. As well as visiting the flagship of the area that thanks to its unique urban landscape with its narrow courtyards, the steep climbs and stairways of the Arab quarter and still other surprises that we do not reveal. Let yourself be amazed.

• 1st stage: Lercara Friddi
  We will start from the meeting point and pass to Lercara Friddi, (birthplace of Frank Sinatra's father)

• 2nd stage: Prizzi
  Untill Prizzi where we could make a walk through its characteristic narrow streets and alleys with medieval remembrances. 

• 3rd stage: Palazzo AdrianoWe continue to Palazzo Adriano, founded by the Albanian exiles who in ancient times founded it, bringing with them customs and habits. We will visit the beautiful church "Santa Maria Assunta" of Greek-Byzantine rite, unique in its kind. Here the well-known director Giuseppe Tornatore made his masterpiece "Nuovo Cinema Paradiso", winner of the Oscar.

• 4th stage: Hermitage of Santa Rosalia alla Quisquina
  Next, we will visit the hermitage of Santa Rosalia alla Quisquina, a mystical and very fascinating place in the heart of the forest, where the life of the virgin, the patroness of Palermo, will be told. The hermitage, in addition to the "cave", includes: the church, the crypt and conventual buildings such as cells, the kitchen and the refectory, here it will offer a tasting of local products and wine.

• 5th stage: San Giovanni Gemini
  To ending the day, visit to one of the most popular local recreational areas in the province of Agrigento, San Giovanni Gemini, which in its Mother church houses the Black Christ "Jesus Nazarè" that will reveal the fascinating history of its discover...

• 6th stage: Cammarata
  Furthermore, walk in the heart of Cammarata, the flagship of the district, which thanks to its unique urban landscape (which extends on a steep slope from 600 to 950 m high) with its narrow courtyards, the steep climbs and stairways of the Arab quarter leave every visitor amazed. Return to the base at approximately 6pm.
