Description

After picking you up from your accommodation in Cefalù, we will start our adventure towards Caccamo, one of the most picturesque villages in Sicily. Our first stop will be the majestic Castle of Caccamo, one of the best-preserved medieval castles on the island, perched on a rock overlooking the entire village. During the visit, I will guide you through its historical halls, unveiling secrets and anecdotes dating back to the Norman period. You will have the chance to admire ancient armors, majestic rooms, and enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley below.

We will then take a sweet coffee break in a cozy local pastry shop, where you will have the opportunity to taste typical Sicilian sweets, such as cannoli and cassata, accompanied by an aromatic espresso coffee.

Our journey will then take us to Cammarata, nestled among the mountains, where we will explore its fascinating medieval village. Strolling through the narrow paved alleys, you will feel transported back in time. Together, we will discover picturesque corners, small squares, and ancient churches, silent witnesses of centuries of history and culture.

For lunch, we will stop at a characteristic trattoria in Cammarata, where you will be delighted by the local excellences. Here, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, you will enjoy traditional dishes prepared with fresh and local ingredients, such as Cammaratese pecorino, homemade pasta dressed with rich sauces and succulent meats, all accompanied by local wines that enhance the flavors of each bite.

In the afternoon, our adventure will lead us to Lercara Friddi, a small town known for being the birthplace of Frank Sinatra's parents. This charming village, nestled in the Sicilian hills, offers unique views and a fascinating history linked to Sicilian emigration to the United States. We will have the opportunity to visit places related to the Sinatra family and discover how this remote corner of Sicily has left its mark on the history of American music.

We will conclude our tour by returning to Cefalù in the late afternoon, enriched with unforgettable experiences and new knowledge about the most authentic heart of Sicily.
